"Thank you," he says, pathetically, gratefully. It's bad for anyone or anything to be out, but if something happens to an animal because of him he'd feel awful. He'd probably feel as bad as he's supposed to feel each time he uses the vice, but with support and not being arrested he feels less and less bad about it.
