Getting stabbed hurts. This groundbreaking conclusion brought to you by someone who absolutely did not expect to get stabbed, much less travel several days to Northcliff Pass before finally collapsing out of exhaustion and getting proper treatment.

Dain would not have described himself as someone impatient, but as the weeks stretch and his wound still doesn't heal, even he begins to feel nervous energy build up. In all fairness, that might have less to do with the stabbing itself and more to do with the reason for the stabbing. But either way, he begins venturing carefully outside on fair weather days, sometimes accompanied and sometimes alone.

It's possible to spot him walking gently around the marketplace, or stopping to rest briefly against one of the external walls. It's also easy to recognise exactly who he is, if you've met him before and know he's a Shepherd. It's a bit of a risk he's taking, as he would be the first to admit.
