IC Game Status

The year is 1315, and Northcliff Pass is in the midst of an unseasonably hot, muggy, and miserable summer—a perfect way for its residents to re-enter the world after being trapped in a cursed time loop for two years. The village is desiccated shadow of what it was only a handful of years ago, and the outside world is wrought with violence and unrest.

winter, 1312

[northcliffpass]

The year is 1312, the pass is closed for the long winter, and all out-of-town commerce is limited as a result. Fortunately, crops and foraging were good last year, and food stores are around where they should be for the season. Unfortunately, with the recent small avalanche, there will be shoveling and structural repairs to complete for weeks. The weather is cold and miserable as ever, mitigated only by the warmth and companionship found in places like the pub and the chapel. The sound of wolves howling nearby has everyone keeping their pets and little ones close, but at present the biggest danger is just the winter itself. Life is hard, but never dull.

Winter came early this year, and everyone is about as stuck as they'd predicted. Spirits are high nonetheless (pun intended?), with the Ghoul Crisis being more or less happily resolved and the season giving way to Yuletide.
